I own three versions of this game! The plain original version, the Academy Edition, and the Collector’s Edition. I got the Collector’s Edition new for Christmas in 2010.
In November 2023, many years after originally playing this game, I bought a super-slim PS3 specifically to play GT5, as it had been a long time since I owned a (working) PS3. Just before this, however, I tried to play it with an emulator, but realised I really wanted to get all the trophies, and also realised I could also use my steering wheel (which may or may not have been possible with the emulator).
